Here is a sneak peek into my classroom! We had time last week to get the room ready for kids…who start MONDAY! I want to wait until I have student work up before I do my BIG classroom reveal. My walls right now are all blank. Here is the sign I have on the bulletin boards! You can get the “under construction waiting for student work” sign for FREE in my store HERE.
I wanted to stay away from a classroom theme so I am using bright, bold colors instead. All my borders are double with the rainbow one in the front. This is a wall in my blocks center. I can’t wait to fill them up with student work!
Here are out classroom rules! The rules are simple and easy to understand for a preschooler. You can purchase theme HERE.
In my circle and library center, I have a HUGE letter wall. I am going to use it as a vocabulary wall. When we begin each study/theme, I will add 10 or so vocabulary words with pictures to the wall related to the study/theme. This is something new I am doing this year. I will keep you posted how it works.
Here is my music and movement shelf. It is in my circle area so we can take movement breaks whenever needed. If you like the crate labels you can purchase them HERE.
On top of the shelf, I keep my teacher supplies I use for whole group lessons/circle.
Here is the sign in table. As part of their morning routine, students sign in each morning. As I learn what level each student is at, I can scaffold name writing strategies for each student.
In each center, I have a caddie of various writing supplies and small clipboards to encourage writing and drawing all day long. There are 5 centers in my classroom (pretend, blocks, library, discovery, and art).
Here is one of my shelves in my discovery center. It is where I keep all my math games and manipulatives.
This is the table in the discovery center. It is where I keep our science experiments and explorations.
The kid’s favorite thing in my classroom is always the sensory table! The colorful noodles are so inviting and easy to pick up. The noddles seem to fly out of the sensory table A LOT at the beginning of the school year!
This is a self in my library center. I keep letter manipulatives and fine motor manipulatives here.
On top of that shelf is a basket of our class books. I have started the All About Us book already. It it our most loved book in the classroom. Each child and teacher creates a page that is all about them! It has only the teacher pages in it right now. I can’t to wait see the kids’ all about us pages! You can purchase the All About Us cover and handout HERE.
Here is a one of my shelves in my art center. It has playdoh, palydoh mats, playdoh tools, art smocks, adn easel paper for students to use and they wish. If you want to purchase the shape playdoh mats you can HERE.
Here is one of my shelves in my blocks center. Do you love the “under construction” signs? A student made them during a construction study last year and I just had to keep them again this year. It makes it more meaningful when it is something they create!
This is my family station. It has the sign in/out sheets, family mailboxes, and a bin with forms parents need throughout the year. Sorry the picture is so blurry.
Be sure to check back for the BIG classroom reveal coming soon!
